Con orgoglio le lampade Oblong led sono state installate in California a Los Angeles. Desired by the designer Liad Schwartz for MLBD.

Liad del nostro catalogo aveva scelto proprio le Oblong Led che non erano elettrificabili per gli USA, ma, data la sua ostinazione, abbiamo studiato una soluzione tecnica che permettesse alla lampada di portare Luce anche dall’altra parte dell’oceano.

Sapevamo che negli USA possono esserci problemi con le cassette di derivazione, sapevamo che non deve esserci contatto tra il legno delle lampade e l’impianto retrostante. Sapevamo che l’installatore americano avrebbe avuto tutte queste accortezze. Tutto ciò, però, non ci ha fermato.

Proprio come il Titanic abbiamo inserito un doppio sistema di paratie in alluminio il primo per isolare il nostro impianto dal legno, il secondo per isolare l’impianto dell’appartamento dalla lampada.

Sperando di non incontrare il fatidico Iceberg, abbiamo chiuso la nostra cassa da oltreoceano, con tutta la cura, polistirolo da 5 cm su tutti i lati, il certificato di autenticità, i cataloghi No Smoking The Future per lo studio di progettazione e le abbiamo affidate, con assicurazione, al servizio di spedizioni.

La cassa parte per Roma, passa per Lonate Pozzolo, transita per la Francia, a Koenl in Germania prende il volo d’oltreoceano, arriva a Memphis, viene fermata in dogana e subito rilasciata, arriva a Los Angeles scampando per un pelo l’uragano Hilary ed al terremoto del 22/8/2023, mentre noi dal sud Italia scandagliavamo le immagini del disastro al TG immaginando di vedere la nostra cassa No Smoking passare tra le onde.

Finalmente arrivano notizie, le casse sono arrivate in ottimo stato e le Oblong Led sono state installate. I nostri clienti sono molto soddisfatti.

Sembra che lo sia anche l’elettricista, che ha trovato il nostro catalogo utilissimo da mettere sotto i piedi per non rovinare il parquet di rovere. Tutto ciò mi riporta a quella volta sul cantiere quando ho trovato tutte le tavole esecutive usate dall’istallatore per ricoprire i condizionatori.

Alla fine, ahimè, in questo mondo globale, tutto il mondo è paese!!!

Liad from our catalog had chosen the Oblong LEDs which were not electrifiable for the USA, but, given his obstinacy, we studied a technical solution that would allow the lamp to bring light even to the other side of the ocean.

We knew that in the USA there could be problems with the junction boxes, we knew that there should be no contact between the wood of the lamps and the system behind them. We knew that the American installer would have all these precautions. However, all this did not stop us.

Just like the Titanic we inserted a double system of aluminum bulkheads, the first to isolate our system from the wood, the second to isolate the apartment’s system from the lamp.

Hoping not to encounter the fateful Iceberg, we closed our ocean chest, with all the care, 5 cm polystyrene on all sides, the certificate of authenticity, the No Smoking The Future catalogs for the design studio and the we have entrusted, with insurance, the shipping service.
